A good interview with Justin from Liberty'n'Justice!
Victory:
Hi there. You've just released a quite interesting album, "Welcome to
the revolution". It conists of some of the most wellknown singers in the
christian scene. Can you tell us about the album's history and how come
you made it?
Justin:
Hey Anders, first thanks for taking the time to chat with me......
Liberty n' Justice started in 91' and up to now has had mediocre success.
Back in 2002 I went into the studio to record my first solo album. Anyone who knows
me knows I can't sing (I'm a songwriter) , but I just felt lead. I was gonna do a full-length rap rock album just
'cause of my lack of talent. I asked Jamie Rowe to sing on it and then I asked Dale Thompson and the singers just kept
saying yes. With that the direction changed to a hardrock AOR record, which is the style I prefer anyway. It was
really a "God" thing having all this talent on the CD.
Victory:
How did you gather all the big shooters?
Justin:
One by one.......lol. Really it was just God, once the CD got momentum
it was easy and once these guys heard the songs they really were excited to do it as well.
Victory:
This might be sensitive, but doesn't it cost an awful amount of money
to create such an album, with all these guys?
Justin:
Hey Anders, I'm pretty open about things. It cost alot, but less than what you think. How is that about
being honest? Really I think you would be suprised
at what we spent for the artists and studio time.
Victory:
So what's the next step for you? Will you release more all-star albums?
Justin:
I am planning the next one already, I don't want to go through what I went
through with "Welcome To The Revolution" again, hurrying, rushing and all. I already have the next ones title already
and the artwork is finished as well. It will have 16 songs
and it will be all in the AOR hardrock vein. I have 12 of the 16 singers already committed
and 5 songs are already 100% done. A few of the guys are returning for round 2 plus
we have added some really cool singers , I think most people will be amazed at.
Victory:
Let's talk more about your latest release, WttR. What's is the main
purpose with this album?
Justin:
Anders, you have listened to it, and one thing I say is....
it Glorifies God in every song. Liberty n' justice is more of a ministry than a band
always has always will be and long as God chooses to use it.
Victory:
...and are you satisfied with the result?
Justin:
Yes, I have very please. I know you did not care for some of the rap but in whole
I think it is a great record and it a great start for the mases to learn what we are all about.
Victory:
Help! I'm living in Europe, how (and when) can I get the album?
Justin:
You can purchase it through our website www.3chordrecords.net or
Aor Heaven, Frontiers and a few other outlets.
Victory:
Finally, please share your top 5 albums (of all time).
Justin:

2. Guardian "Miracle Mile"
3. Bride "Snakes In The Playground"
