This is an interview with quite legendary Björn of Leviticus.
Victory:Hello, Björn, it was great news when the announcment that "Leviticus has been risen from dead activity". What was the reason by doing this? Was it the love for the music? Björn:We really love the music and all of the members was ready to rock again. We was invited to play at the Bob fest in march this year and that was the new start of Leviticus. I`ve had been working with lots of pop music for several years so I longing for to pic up my guitar and play some heavy riff`s together with Kjell`s heavy drums and Peo`s high energy voice, and now we are rocking again. Victory:So, do you have plans for a brand new studio album also? Björn: Yes we planned to start recording the new album this autumn and release it in spring 2004. Victory: About the new Live album that will be released shortly, what can you tell us about that? Björn: The Live album will be released in august, maybe september and all of the songs are from Leviticus four albums and some from my solo album 'Together with friends'. This is a typical live record with a more heavier sound than the studio albums and in some of the songs we have change the arrangements. Niklas Edberger is a new member on keyboards and he is great, he is the Swedish .John Lord. and he plays of course on a old .Hammond.. Victory:Are you also signed by any label at the moment? Björn: Not yet, but I have lots of contacts and some of them are interested, but this live record will be released on my own record company BTS Records. Victory: Which Leviticus album is your all time favourite? Björn: I think I like .The strongest power. best, because of the strong feelings we had when we recorded that album, but the last one .Knights of heaven. is also OK. Victory: . It looks like christian metal is on its way back after some silent years in the early/mid 90's. Do you think we are getting another golden area? Björn: Yes, I think so. It`s time for the cristian music to take a step forwards. The record company are also more open for cristian music. I´m also beliving that many people longing for good music with good lyrics without violence, drugs, sex and all that rubbish things they spread out , special .the rapmusic.. Victory:Give me a few reasons why should I attend to a Leviticus concert? Björn: We will give you good concert where the Lord can touch your heart. Good strong music with the heavy sound of Leviticus filled with joy and love. Victory:You are also a quite famous producer in Sweden, could you please tell us what do you think about being one of the lead producers? Björn: I have advantage to work with some of Swedish best selling artists And I really love my job. We have lots of fun in the studio and I meet many kinds of nice people, but I am never thinking that I am one of the lead producers in Sweden right now, it`s so far away I`m only doing my job. I got many good contacts and maybe it`s gives more inputs in future. Victory: Finally, what do you want to say to person that, eventually, is not a christian? Björn:It`s always my highest wish to give every person the message from God that He love them and he really take care about them. In this world you can choose between two ways, one in darkness and one in the light. Say to me, why should you live in the dark when the light way gives you so much more freedom, piece in your heart, love and all that you you are longing for. The King Jesus Christ is ready to take care of you, are you ready? It`s better to rock in heaven than die in hell. by Victory |
