Sometimes you just have to be impressed by something that does not Really impress you.
Do you know what I mean? Well you don't have to feel bad about that, because I will explain it
for you. I, Victory, was attending to a music festical called Occfest and there he saw a band
which played some heavymetal a'la early metallica and AC/DC, not really tight or even superb
but one thing was ordinary with this. The age of this band was SO young that victory almost was
crashed to the floor of astonishement. After their gig I just had to go and see how these guys
were doing you...
Victory: So hi guys, how are you? Can you present yourselves and yuor band to our readers?
Tantrum: Well, we are four guys playing classic heavy metal. We are:
Rasmus Nybond - Guitar
Björn Nybond - Guitar
Johannes Brandt - Bass
Sami Lavilampi - Drums
We are all 13(!!!) years old and we have been playing with out band for about 1,5 years.
We actually started because one of us bought a heavy metal CD, called Kill 'em All with
Metallica...
Victory: Yes, I know that one.
Tantrum:It is quite legendary isn't?
Victory: Well, at least much more better than these days' stuff, it kind of sucks...
Tantrum: At this time we play some covers (Seek and destroy for an example) but we also
do own songs.
Victory: Where do you compose them?
Tantrum: In our Garage!
Victory: *Laughs*
Tantrum: In the future will we just play our own songs, but we are looking for a singer.
(Reader, if you are a singer write me!! J)
Victory: So for, long have you guys been practising with your instruments?
Tantrum: For a couple of years. We hare practising five times in the week, sometimes
up to six hours per day, with many coffee breaks...!)
Victory: I understand you'll need a couple of those breaks if you reherseal so hard...
Victory: What do you think about the metal scene in general?
Tantrum: Well, we think it stinks a bit when many artits tries to be cool with their
though image, it perhaps doesn't harm them but it will for sure harm many others.
Victory: That was wise words! You are only 13 years old...?!
Victory: So do you have any demo-CD's?
Tantrum: Not for the moment, but they will appear in the future!
Victory: And how about any homepage...
Tantrum: Same answer, not yet but it is one the way!
Victory: Finally a question I ask all the bands I interview: Name your favorite CD's
Tantrum: Mostly the old Metallica stuff but also the old Iron Maiden- and AC/DC-stuff.
I also asked them if they knew a lot about the christian metal market, but they did not know a lot.
But you cannot demand a lot from a bunch of future stars.
Why I did this interview was because I know that they will be stars, if they just continue
to work real hard. This looks promising!
