Disciple - Back again

This is the higly ancipipated follow up of the cracker-album 'By God'. Honestly I didn't have a clue of how Disciple would be able to succeed to make an album of the same calibre of By God and also exceed that standard. Back again is much heavier than By God but still that good ol' groovy Disciple.

It's always a danger to start comparing new albums with old ones but it feels Disciple haven't really been able to create those smash hits like By God and God of Elijah but overall they've managed to produce an album that beats to old ones in the bigger picture (overall songwriting, production) and still they have made some absolutely fantastic songs on this album as well.

As you already might have figured, I don't have much to complain about when it comes to this album. Some of the highlights are for example Back Again, Why don't you shut up (which actually is a bit Rammstein influenced) and the worship song Before You. The greatest joy I find in this album is though the fact that the guys in Disciple have become a lot heavier in the soundpicture and the lyrics are in your face and they're communication the Word of God!

Band information
Disciple started as a pure metalcore band and their first two-three albums showed nothing less than pure metal intensity. More recently they have turned a bit more modern and even a bit of numetal can be spotted here and there. Disciple are also known for their strait in your face Jesus lyrics and many find them really uplifting.
