Where can I
get the CD?

Arson - New world

Arson is a fairly unknown band from Germany and they describe their music as some kind of rapcore in the veins of RATM and Linkin Park. I'll get back to this in my conclusion.

I got this CD from a friend and my expections were actually quite high when I put it into my CD-player. The inlay card is very well done and it seemed to be a quite high budget product. Sorry to say, New World was a bit of a disappointment to me.

Musically the songs are not really anything above the rest, the verses have some great potential but when the chorus kicks in the songs die. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I'm not sure if I'd call this rapcore either. I would probably label the music modern rock with a lot of emo and rapcore influence.

Undoubtedly this is quite heavy stuff but it's really lacking in hardhitting choruses and the production doesn't really make the music justice. The production is say, a bit shallow. Maybe the band should have put some of the money from the graphics on the post-production instead?

I'm saying all this while keeping in mind that this is decent debut from a band poppin up out of nowhere. If they can add some hardhitting choruses and a heavier sound to the next release this could become interesting. But until then this CD won't find it's way into my playlist.
