Melodic metal masters Balance of power is back with more goodies to please our
metal ears. After Lance King left the band, many wondered if they could find a singer that
could provide the same quality. Then they presented the new singer. He was, for me, the unknown
John K.. But he can sing, oh yes, he can sing.He has a very strong voice and reminds a bit of Geoff Tate.
The powerful and catchy opener (Heathen Machine) removes every doubt that BoP had become a weaker band after
Lance depart. And in that vein the journey continues throughout the whole album. They are even more
melodic now than they were before. And the drummer is, honestly, one of the tighter ones I've ever heard.
Sadly the lyrics aren't very christian, even though they are not bad, but still I prefer God-centered
lyrics.
With a splendid prodution and some very good songs I cannot see any major reasons why you shouldn't
invest some $$$ in this album.
