Dust Eater Dogs - Oil

Man, this was a pleasant suprise! Veteran rockers Dust Eater Dogs, from Finland, has managed to release one groundbreaking rock'n'roll album filled with energy and good lyrics!

First of all I have to admit that I am not a fan of hardcore, rapcore or whatever core you find. But Dust eater dogs here proves that you can create an album that everyone can enjoy without being pushed away by the musical differences that might be.

As said, they deliever a very energic album, which will kick some serious butt. Many of the songs are catchy and are good to use when taking a shower. I specially like the starter, 'Millstone Grrind' the punkish 'Total Rinse' and the very catchy 'Brothers New Life'. But I can asure you, not many fillers around here.

The only sad thing is that DED suffers from the Impellitteri syndrome, the album is just over 30minutes long and you notice that it ends too fast, because you want much more of them!!!

The production is quite good as well, the producer has managed to create a sound which fits them very good.

Recommended for everyone which is not offended by their hardcorish sound (though they have many influences!).
Style: Hardcore'n'Roll
Hot shots: I'd say everyone kicks!
Overall: (probably would be better if it wasn't too short)
Year: 2001
