Where can I get the CD?

Various Artists - In the shadow of death
|
Right after the entrance into the new millennium Endtime Productions released a compilation showing what the future
might bring. This CD is filled with black-, death- and some industrial metal songs, some better some not as good. Here
they are, one by one:
1. Parca Pace - Chrystalis
An industrial intro, actually not interesting at all. A lot of different noises. Like all the other industrial pieces
here, this is definitely nothing I understand or want to hear.
2. Vaakevandring - Fall Of Man
Oooooh! Aaaaaah! Man, this is great! Norway has always been the land of blackmetal, and why change a winning concept?
Reminding a bit of Emperor, these guys deliver symphonic black as good as it can be! This is one of the best blackmetal
songs I have ever heard! I'm speechless. (P.S. Antestor's singer screams here as well...)
3. Lengsel - Revival
The Norweigians still rule...with Extol's bassplayer playing the guitar and singing, this is another of the great songs
on the compilation. Technical blackmetal with a slight atmospheric tough here and there. Very nice!
4. Schaliach - Purple Filter
Ole Børud's solo project continues with a song, heavier than those on Sonrise. Through most of the song a clean guitar
is playing, adding a pleasant touch. That guy is a genious, he plays all instruments in the song...impressive!
5. Sanctum - Stone
Industrial.
6. Crimson Moonlight - Blood Covered My Needs
Before The Covenant Progress my favourite guys released this song, that clearly told the direction of the future. Much
harder than the EP Eternal Emperor, but still very symphonic, this is one of the highlights on this CD.
7. Antestor - Spiritual Disease
By the legends of Christian blackmetal Martyrium was made. From Martyrium the song Spiritual Disease was chosen. That
was a good choise. This is slow sorrowmetal, as they prefer to call it, black mixed with some doom, not the happiest
song made. Spiritual Disease speeds up after a while making this a good song.
8. Extol - Inferno
Progressive black/death is Extol's trademark and Inferno is no exception. Inferno is heavy and technical metal with
some symphonic parts. Really headbanging stuff!
9. Mental Destruction - Your Dying Soul
Industrial.
10. Anaemia - The Second Incarnation
This is a slightly strange mix between trash and death, I would say. Mostly due to the vocals this is not really my
favourite, but it's listenable...
11. Sanctifica - Riket (The Empire)
Taken from Sanctificas debut album Spirit of purity, Riket is fast, furious and atmospheric as few. As an extra bonus
the song is in Swedish, which adds a Nordic viking-feel. Nice lyrics too...I don't really see why this song is at the
end of the CD, when it should be among the first!
12. Vardøger - Footprints Of Thunder
True folkish blackmetal from the frosty mountains of Norway is what we get here. The singer, who by the way is the
singer of Schaliach too, has a really brutal blackmetalvoice that cuts like a knife through butter. The only thing that
dissappoints me is the lack of fast kickdrums...more kicking please!!
13. Absurd2 - Wisdom
Indrustrial.
14. Drottnar - Trellebaand Maa Briste
Blackmetal is brutal enough when you can't really tell the difference between all instruments...or? Drottnar have
surely made a brutal song with an even more brutal name. I love that name and the hunting-horn heard here and there,
but the song has quite low soundquality. And as I enjoy good production, better production would make this a killer
song!
15. Nebulon - Enough
Enough of strange industrial songs, yes!
This is a good CD if you leave the industrial mess behind. Fortunately there are enough good songs to make this CD a
good investment. Get it!(or if you Like industrial it's even better (Victory's note))
