John Schlitt - shake

John Schlitt is the singer of Petra and this is his second solo album. It can be described as soft rock with some melodic addings here and there.

John has, in my opinion, one of the finest rock voices in the world of rock and additionally he's an exceptional lyrics author. And he shows both of his skills on this album, specially the two first songs have some tremendous lyrics.

Sadly, he's chosen to go for quite soft direction in this album, which reminds (not surprisingly, since if was released the same year) of Petra's No Doubt, the only big difference is that No Doubt is a splendid album and this is just a shadow of that.

The biggest problem is that the songs are, as said, way too soft. So this ain't an album I can recommend for you metalheaders, but if you can stand soft rock, then I think you'll like this.
