King James - The fall
|
King James is a heavy metal consisting the legendary Rex Carrol, one
the most respectful guitarists in christian rock/metal scene. After releasing a quite
lame debut album(Star Song) they here show what they really are able to deliver.
Crunchy heavy metal with many melodic hooks. The singer, Jimi Bennett (ex Sacred Fire and
Boanerges) has a very good heavy metal voice with a good range. He reminds a bit
of the singer of Rage and a bit of the singer of Saint.
Many good tunes here, the opener The fall sets a good standard for the rest of the album.
The only weak spot here is the lack of orginality but I know there are many heavy metallers out there
that want their sound to be, and only be, 80's heavy metal and they will be pleased by this one.
