Leviticus - Live at Bobfest 2003

A new virus is spreading and it's called "reunion". This is not a bad virus at all, specially not when bands like Bloodgood, Stryper and now also Leviticus all have started playing together again.

Leviticus is a classic heavy metal which was very famous in the 80's, when they released many good albums. They have used three different singers and the one they're using now is the one from their last release, knights of heaven, Peo Pettersson. He's pretty good and I think he's has more power in his voice than the other vocalists Leviticus has used. But he has one drawback and it's that he doesn't manage to nail the highest notes. You can clearly hear that on a couple of songs, which makes quality a bit lower. But when the band plays songs that fits his voice it's a pleasant listening experience

The music is very good and the producer (Björn Stigsson also the guitarist, Leviticus is his child) has successfully taken the live atmosphere to the album. I also think that they have chosen very good songs to be on this album, I specially enjoy Messiah, Majestic in power and Born again.

By the way;the album was recorded at Bobfest 2003, one of the best festivals in the world. If you have not attended it yet you are missing a piece in your metal puzzle.

Overall a good album which is actually better than I hoped it would be.Go and get it guys!
