Tourniquet - Microscopic view of a telescopic realm
|
As a reviewer I have always been fascinated by bands that succed to create a
perfect CD. Such as Shadow Gallery's Tyranny, and
(of course) Extol's Burial. There we have, IMHO, two perfects CD's.
But somehow Tourniquet succedes to produce something even more impressive!
If I shall be honest I was not expecting anything extra ordinary when I
purchased this CD, when it hit my CD player it smashed me to the ground!!!
The Music:
Simply perfect! Ted Kirkpatrick is truley one of the greatest drummers out
there and Aaron Guerra one of the best guitarists, not to forget the superb
singers in the name of Luke Easter. I cannot with my mind understand how can
create such perfect music as these guys have done. Perfect.
The Lyrics:
Where (almost) every secular (and many christian as well) bands fall Tourniquet
still stands at the top watching down at the others... The quite confusing
phrase was meant to describe how perfect Tourniquet handles the ability to
write fantastic lyrics as well.
I love all their lyrics and here's a short example how some quality lyrics looks like:
"As the sunlight sets the clouds aflame, do you now wonder how they became?
If the monster lives in the depts of Loch Ness,
And Yeti prowles the nights in the northwest.
He is their maker - both the giver of life, the quencher of strife
From the world's first dividing cell to the loneliest quarters of hell"
(Microscopic view of a telescopic realm)
Bewarned, if you don't own this CD, you will possible never know what real
music really was meant to sound like.
