Where can I
get the CD?

The metal rose collection

This is a compilation CD with some finnish Christian metalsongs, but I have to say that I'm dissappointed. We can do better than this in Finland! I'll give you a guided tour through the CD:

1. First this thing blasts off with The Cold Northwind by Immortal Souls. This really raawks, but the production could be better though...

2. The next song is some power/heavy stuff from Oratorio, Shine The Light, to be more exact. This song is also alright...

3. This is quite interesting, kantele-blackmetal by Worship Factory, with the song Drowned. If the guitars would be louder and grind some more, this would be a real hit! (But it's not bad...)

4. Some of you might have heard this song, The Challenge, by a (now dead, i think) powermetal band called Hallowed. These guys completely rock!

5. Next in line is 2000 years by Tinnitus. Deathmetal without further details is what we get. These guys are known for their strange ideas and in the middle of the song, they have put a löyly-sound (water on a sauna). Tight and brutal.

6. G-Force with the song More Than A Dream. This is some kind of techno-metal, hard do describe, but it's not as bad as you might think according to my description...

7. Grande Walse in Dm Op. 3 Nro II by the band V.I.P. Wasn't this supposed to be a metal album? This sounds more like some Punk/HC mix, something...I think that this song also have way to much music that's there without a purpose, which becomes quite boring.

8. I don't really know if I should put this song on a metal-CD either. I'm Over You, by Exlife, is actually not a bad song, it's catchy and nice, but it somehow doesn't fit in here...

9. Pain Inside by Anchor is the next song. The style of music...I have no idea what to call it. Grinding vocals and scratching...

10. Until this song, Rockstar by IX Syndicate, the lyrics have been Christian, but this song really sucks (my humble opinion). The lyrics are bad, and the music...not metal at least. Nazipunk is the closest word I can find. This tune shouldn't be on this CD.(Victory:Nazipunk!?What on earth is that doing here?!)

11. Same here. Icon Clan with the song Party's Gonna Be a Blast, is punk not metal. This is not good.

12. The Christan lyrics have come back...thanks to Destination with the song Closer To You, but where is the metal?

13. The good lyrics remain, but unfortunately, the music too. This song, Dying Desire by Pulse, sounds like it had been recorded on an normal taperecorder, without much mixing...

14. Ahdistus by Catrabbits is the last song on this CD and I don't need anymore...this is also mostly somekind of HC-something...

The first 5-6 songs are good, the rest...not that good. The songs 9 and 10 destroys what's left. Don't waste your money on this CD.
