Where can I
get the CD?

Pergamon - Breaking an Image

I had never heard about this band, until a bandmember said that I should check their stuff out. And today I'm happy that I did so. We're (of course) talking about a self-financed EP, with six tracks, and the production could be better, there are two different productions here, the first three songs are new, and got a much better production than the three last songs which are older. But still it's not a bad production it is enough to please my ears. So what do these guys play? The answer is crunchy black metal with influences from metal and death-metal. The EP starts out with the longest track, Why? Well not, in my opinion, the best track, I actually think it's a bit boring. But still it is wellplayed metal! But better stuff is to come, right after the opening tune one highlight does appear, it is a song sung in swedish (of all languages...), it is pretty slow and even got clean vocals, I love it! Same great stuff follows with "By Myself" it is another great black tune, with great lyrics!

"Lone is not strong
lone is weak
Lean on the Lord
and he'll carry you"

Next up is a death/black song called "Game in nothingness" I like this one as well... as I do with all the rest songs, to top their EP they've put a great closing track for us. It is a really low black metal song, and (as always) I like it. To sum this up, I think Pergamon is a really good band with very high potential, they perhaps should do a visit to the Abyss studios, because the production could be better. But I recommend you to check this band out and buy their EP!
