When you ask a head banging hard rocking dude which Petra albums he perfers, he usually says
Beyond belief, On fire and Unseen power. I agree, these three albums contain all good hard rock
to pleasure our heavy metal ears. Though I reckon this to be the weakest of these three, I still consider it
as a quality release. With soaring vocals and heavy guitars, what do you more demand Victory? Well I think that some of the songs are a bit too weak to be placed on a splendid record. I.e. what on earth is the absolutley uninteresting song Hand on my heart doing here? If they removed the fillers this would be a legendary album, because songs like the gospel influensed Who's on the Lord's side and the incredible Sight unseen(best Petra song ever?) truely explains why Petra is considered to be the all time number one christian rock band. Your collection is not 100% unless you own this gem. |
