System breakdown - S/t
|
The men in the melodic metal band Narnia are truely busy men. Almost
every member has one or more side project running. Check this out:
Carl-Johan (Guitarist): Narnia, Saviour Machine, System Breakdown(+some others)
Christian Rivel(Singer):Narnia, Wisdom Call, own label
Andreas Olson(Bass):Narnia, Wisdom Call, Stormwind, Harmony
Linus Kåse(Keyboards):Narnia, Bright eye brison
Andreas Johansson(Drums):Narnia, Wisdom Call, System Breakdown
Some people works more than others...
Well, over to this record. This is System Breakdown, brainchild of Carl-Johan and
Pär Hagström. They're playing some sort of neoclassical hardrock with strong
influences of Soundgarden and some 80's bands.
I really like the voice of Pär, it's strong and majestic. He really nails the songs
with power and emotion. Add some magic from Calle and you have a real good debut
album from these guys.
Some groovy stuff are found in the powerful title track, the emotional ballad paths
(which reminds me of a song from an Italian band called Vision divine)
and the epic track Mindsession.
Overall a good release but it is way too short (38mins) and it lacks some orginality,
but of you're in to good melodic powerful hardrock, I recommend you buying this
sweet candy.
