Ok, this is the last proof that Mortification has abandoned their successfull
deathmetal which makes me kind of sad... The new style, which is some kind of
metalcore, does not suck but it's not good either. The songs on the CD are quite
boring and if you've heard one of them, you've heard all. The production though does not leave much to wish and the lyrics saves a three point for this record. The lyrics does not really come up to the old Mortification standard but I think Steve's and Lincoln's points are coming through. The new drummer Adam Zaffarese does a good job behind the drums (at least much better than ex-drummer Keith Bannister) and his performance is one of the better on the disc. |
