Stryper - In God we trust

There are few bands out there that has succeeded to bring out high quality music while not decreasing the quality of the lyrics. Stryper is one of those bands, waving the christian metal flag high and clear in the middle /late 80's they showed the world that christians actually are able to play good metal.

This is their third album, released in 1988, and as usual it's a real cracker. The album starts with the title track In God we trust and it sets the course for the whole album, with many melodic hooks and strong lyrics, telling about God's love and the importance in giving our lives to Him before it's too late. Amen to that.

But I don't rank this one as good as their others and the reason is simply because I find it too soft, I am not against ballades but I don't want to many of them either.I think Stryper is best when they are fast and furious.

Of course this is still an album that deserves a place in every true metalhead's collection because it's still better than about 95% of the other bands' offerings out there.
