Tourniquet - Where moth and rust destroy
|
Murphy's law says that every thing that can fail, will fail. Tourniquet's law says every album we release will be great. That
has been the truth for over a decade now (even though man find crawl to china unbearable) and they succeeded to avoid to repeat theirselves,
a problem most of the bands out there got. Before you read any further I have to make an announcement, I consider their last album "Microscopic view
of a telescopic realm" to be one of the finest releases we've seen in the entiry metal history. So I had SOME expectations here.
After Aaron Guerra left the band there was a hole to fill but Ted fixed that in the following way:
Marty Friedman + Bruce Franklin = shreddings at the highest grade!
Man, this album if shredding from the beginning until the almost very end. For a unknown reason they include a doom song that I don't have
and ideas of what it's doing there. I have to admit that I fell asleep the first I time I tried to listen to it. But let's us forget about that and
concentrate us on the absolutly terrefic music tourniquet deliever us.
The songs vary from nearly 4minutes to almost 10. And they are very unique and interesting, where the listener hears why Ted Kirkpatrick is considered
to be music mastermind genius. Very complex, yet cathcy and melodic music. And the production (done by the famous Bill Metoyer) is crystal clear!
The only thing I am hoping for is that they now get a guitarplayer to the band so they can start touring! I am waiting for you boys!
