X-terra is three-piece-band,hailing from USA, playing classical heavy metal.
They've been around the scene for over two decades, sharing the gospel
through their straith lyrics and powerful metal. The singer reminds me a bit of the one in Sacred Warrior but with more power in his voice, I also hear a bit Michael Sweet(Stryper) but not nearly with the same range. In this 3-song demo we get a really good song and two mediocre ones. The first one is quite lousy and I find it quite uninteresting, it lacks orginality and strength. But then the second, Calm before the storm, one is a smashing cracker. Some superb lyrics combined with a really catchy chorus. A very good song.The third one is again below standard, but it's still better than the first one. Ok, but nothing special. Good lyrics though (as in every song). An OK demo and if they can produce more songs like Calm before the storm they could hit the masses with their next release. |
