Where can I
get the CD?

XT - Taxfree

This is XT, hailing from Sweden and providing us with heavy metal. It's the famuos Björn Stigsson second child (Leviticus being the first born). The year is 1993 and the world doesn't care much about good old heavy metal anymore. But that doesn't prevent XT from releasing a very interesting piece of metal art.

Playing very typical 80's heavy metal with keyboards used very frequently; and a singer which makes you really believe that the year actually is 1988.It doesn't mean he's bad but it is most unusal to hear a CD from 1993 to sound like this. And I am most happy with that fact, because the 80's rules!

Their music could be described as typical heavy metal, but the rhythm guitars are used more than most of the others use them, I find that quite cool. The songs are often backed up with background vocals, again very 80's-stylish, and yet again I think they fit there very well.

Many songs are really enjoyable to listen to, actually there are just a few fillers here. The highlights being the strong and sensitive ballad Got love and the semiballad The silent cry(telling about children being illtreated by their parents).

The production is pretty good, a little but thin but still it doesn't ruin the music at all.

If you are one of those who cries when you realize that the 80's is over, and then realizing that so is also the good metal; then you should try getting this. You won't be dissapointed, it's a promise!
